The former 'Touch' actress reveals she has a part in the next season of the hit zombie series, while the 'American Horror Story' star O'Hare is cast in a recurring role for the freshman dramedy.

AceShowbiz - "The Walking Dead" has just introduced another leader in the second episode of season 7, but it has already scored a big star for its upcoming season 8. Maria Bello spills the beans that she will join the cast of the show when it returns with the new installment next year.

"I am obsessed with the show," so the "ER" alum tells PEOPLE of the hit AMC series. "I have a friend who's a producer on it and I've asked them to write me a part, which apparently they are for next season."

A big fan of "The Walking Dead", the 49-year-old actress is so keen on appearing on the show that she's willing to play a zombie. "Even if I just play a zombie," she jokingly adds. "I said, 'I'll just come out and play a zombie for an episode, I don't care!' But it is my favorite show."

Meanwhile, "American Horror Story" star Denis O'Hare is joining "This Is Us" family. The actor, who has appeared in five seasons of "AHS" including the current one "Roanoke", lands a recurring role on the NBC family dramedy.

He will play Jessie, a friend of William (Ron Cephas Jones), later in the freshman season. Other details about his guest stint, including for how many episodes he's booked and when he will make his debut, are still unknown.
