Katy is collaborating with Max and Shellback who co-wrote Taylor's hit 'Bad Blood' that was widely believed to be about the 'Rise' hitmaker.

AceShowbiz - Is Katy Perry's response to "Bad Blood" coming after all? The "Rise" hitmaker took to Twitter on Thursday, October 20 after live-tweeting the presidential debate to reveal a couple of collaborators for her upcoming fifth studio album.

Katy said she's working with music producers Max Martin and Shellback. "Ok back to the studio for me. 2017 is gonna tight af," the "Roar" singer wrote, "MAKE LYRICS GREAT AGAIN! cc Max Martin & Shellback."

Fans are speculating that Katy is gearing up for a diss album about her nemesis Taylor Swift as Max and Shellback played a significant role crafting the latter's "1989" album. The music producer duo also co-wrote Taylor's hit "Bad Blood" which was widely believed to be about Katy.

Katy opened up about her new album during recent interview with Elvis Duran. "I'm working with a lot of unexpected writers and producers and ... that's bringing out a lot of different things sonically," she shared, "Even when I was working with my go-to producers, I'd always push them to play me a beat that was reserved for Three 6 Mafia or something like that ... I know exactly how to write a lyric over that because my strengths are melody and lyrics. I'm putting myself in unexpected situations and that is breeding a lot of new color."

The "Fireworks" singer's manager confirmed that her upcoming album would be released before the end of 2016. Rumor has it, the record, which also features collaboration with Rae Sremmurd's Swae Lee, is coming in October or November.
