Rihanna follows Drizzy's domination at the AMAs with seven nods while Adele and Justin Bieber trail behind her with five each.

AceShowbiz - The nominees for the upcoming 44th annual American Music Awards are announced. Drake leads the pack with 13 nominations, breaking Michael Jackson's record of 11 nods from 1984. Rihanna follows with seven nods, while Adele and Justin Bieber trail behind her with five each.

Drizzy scores multiple nods through his songs from "Views" album and his collaboration with RiRi called "Work". He is additionally vying for the most coveted Artist of the Year along with RiRi, Adele, Bieber, Beyonce Knowles, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Twenty One Pilots, Carrie Underwood and The Weeknd.

Meanwhile, newbies competing for the New Artist of the Year title at this year's AMAs are Alessia Cara, The Chainsmokers, Joe Jonas-fronted band DNCE, Shawn Mendes and ex-One Directioner Zayn Malik.

Winners will be announced at a live telecast Sunday night, November 20 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
