The reality TV star revealed in a chat with Andy Cohen days before the burglary that her husband Kanye West bought the ring after he closed a massive deal with Adidas.

Days before she lost it in the Paris robbery, the reality TV star shared a super sweet story about how her husband Kanye West bought the $4 million sparkler and gave it to her in the middle of the night.
Speaking to Andy Cohen during an event in New York City on September 27, Kim revealed that Kanye purchased the 20-carat, emerald cut Lorraine Schwartz ring, which looked similar to her engagement band, after he inked a massive deal with Adidas last summer. She said she was sleeping when the rapper surprised her with the present.
"I was sleeping and he woke me up in the middle of the night and said, 'Babe, babe, I got you something from Adidas.' And I said, 'I'll get the shoes in the morning babe, I'm sleeping.' And then he put a box on my pillow, a Lorraine Schwartz box," she recalled.
"And he goes, 'No, open your eyes,' and I opened my eyes and it was a box, and I like, woke up, and I was like, 'What is this?' 'Well, you know I just did that big Adidas deal, so I got you something from Adidas!' " she shared and added that Kanye even engraved the word "Adidas" on the inside "because he's funny like that."
"And I was like, 'Do I have to give my other ring back?' and he was like, 'Can you do that?' and I was like 'Nooo! You can't do that, I'm just kidding,' " she continued.
The ring was among those items stolen by five masked men who raided Kim's Paris apartment on Monday, October 3. According to a recent report, the mother of two regretted showing off the massive ring so much on social media.
"Kim's in shock and blaming herself. She's tearing herself up that she Snapchatted the ring so much and wore it all the time," a source close to her told PEOPLE. "This incident is making her question everything. How she dresses, what she does."
"Kanye wants to buy her the ring again but she just says she doesn't want to think about it," the source added. "He says he wants everything to go back to normal and for the incident to not affect their lives."
