Demi Lovato Gets Slammed by Fans After Criticizing Fan-Made Drawing of Her
Celebrity

The singer upset some of her fans after she complained about how her boobs were drawn in the image created by 17-year-old Lovatic named Vladimir Serbanescu from Romania.

AceShowbiz - This is definitely not the response this Demi Lovato fan would want to hear when he made a drawing of the singer and posted it on Instagram. Over the summer, a 17-year-old Lovatic named Vladimir Serbanescu from Romania shared online a picture of the former Disney star as a topless mermaid.

The black-and-white image, inspired by one of the pictures she shared on Instagram upon the release of her single "Body Say", was unnoticed for months before it resurfaced over the weekend thanks to the diva's harsh opinion on it. The 24-year-old, who's been very vocal about her body image, was particularly not happy with how her boobs were drawn.

"Is that how my boobs should look? It's gorgeous but that's not my body," she wrote. After finding out about the comment, Serbanescu took a screen grab of it and posted it on Instagram along with the picture. In the caption, he explained why he made Lovato's boobs look bigger and expressed disappointment over her complaint.

"If i make your waist slimmer and your boobs bigger to accentuate the fact that i drew you as a mermaid, a mythological creature, doesn't mean I say that you should look like that or all girls should look like that," Serbanescu wrote.

"That's how i imagine mermaids," he added. "I worked a lot on that drawing and i was proud of it, but not anymore. @ddlovato."

Serbanescu wasn't the only one left upset by Lovato's criticism. A lot of other fans took to social media to call her out for being too harsh. "Imagine drawing Demi as a mermaid for her to say it's offensive bc her boobs don't look like that irl. Does ur tail not look like that too?" a Twitter user said. "Can't believe someone took their time to draw Demi Lovato as a mermaid, probably took 2 hours, & all she could say was 'it's unrealistic,' " another wrote.

Meanwhile some Lovatics said they could understand why Lovato criticized the fan-made drawing. "Not funny. She had an eating disorder. It's a journey for her to love her body. She has the right to want it portrayed thru art honestly," a fan said. "Yes lets continue to body shame the girl who used to starve herself maybe we can get her to relapse! How cute! Lets throw out morals for RTS," another added.
