AceShowbiz - Major Lazer releases new single "Believer" featuring Dutch production duo Showtek. The track, featuring Freetown Collective, will appear on Major Lazer's upcoming album "Music Is the Weapon" which also features a Justin Bieber collab "Cold Water".

"We came across this song running through Trinidad's underground scene with a creative collective called Freetown and turned the original reggae dub plate version into an inspirational festive and club song," Diplo says in a press release, "We wanted something from that classic Major Lazer sound and got some amazing help from one of our favorite production teams: Showtek. We delivered something we just couldn't do without them. This one is going all year until next summer."

Showtek says, "It's been almost two years since we sat down with Diplo in his studio in L.A.We are both fans of each other's sound and combining both styles has turned out great! Music is a universal language that brings people together, no matter their race, religion, culture or skin color."

"Connection on every level is a powerful thing," they add, "We experienced that as artists in the studio and tried to let that shine through in the collaboration. We believe this song represents such a positive message. We are very excited for this release and hopefully we can work on something else in the future."

The lyrics include, "When the valley couldn't hold me/ they throw me in the river/ Thinking I would drown/ but man ah good swimmer, ohhh/ When the river didn't drown me/ they throw me in the fire/ But the fire just cool/ I could never burn, ohhh/ Cause I'm a believer, I'm a believer/ I'm a believer, I'm a believer."
