AceShowbiz - Some of the biggest names in music industry were coming to New York City's Central Park on Saturday, September 24 for the 2016 Global Citizen Festival. Among those who rocked the show were Rihanna, Demi Lovato and Chris Martin.
RiRi performed her biggest hits, including "Stay", "Cake", "Pour It Up", "Numb", "B***h Better Have My Money", "Diamonds", "Love on the Brain" and "FourFiveSeconds".
Demi opened her set with "Confident" before launching into "For You", "Stone Cold", Aretha Franklin's 1967 classic "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" and "Cool for the Summer".
Chris, meanwhile, covered Prince's "Raspberry Beret" before he was joined by Eddie Vedder for a special duet which marked one of the night's standout performances. The pair covered Crowded House's 1987 gem "Don't Dream It's Over" before performing Pearl Jam's "Nothingman" and Patti Smith's 1988 anthem "People Have the Power".
Other performers included Kendrick Lamar, Usher, Ellie Goulding, Metallica, Major Lazer and MO, Yandel and Becky G, as well as Cat Stevens. The music festival was hosted by Priyanka Chopra, Neil Patrick Harris and Salma Hayek.
