AceShowbiz - Chadwick Boseman has opened up about "Black Panther" solo film. The T'Challa depicter recently told Yahoo! Movies about what to expect from the upcoming Marvel superhero flick, saying that fans would "learn about Wakanda, its culture, its traditions, the past" as well as hinting at the inclusion of "more Panthers that have existed in the past."

"['Captain America: Civil War'] was a jumping off point for the Black Panther character," Boseman said, "It's not necessarily an origin story because he remains a mystery through most of the movie. When I take the mask off and it's revealed that it's the Prince of Wakanda, that's the guy whose father was just killed - it's a surprise."

"I think there's a lot to reveal about the character," he continued. "There is definitely more of his origin in 'Black Panther'," the 39-year-old actor explained. "You're going to learn about Wakanda, its culture, its traditions, the past. You can go through all the comic books and know that there's more Panthers that have existed in the past - that's origin."

"Black Panther" is expected to begin production early next year for a February 16, 2018 release in U.S. theaters. Michael B. Jordan has joined the cast as one of the villains named Erik Killmonger, Lupita Nyong'o is on board to portray a member of Dora Milaje named Nakia and Danai Gurira has been tapped to play Okoye, the leader of Dola Milaje. Rumor has it, Andy Serkis will play another villain known as Ulysses Klaw.

Ryan Coogler ("Creed") is on board to direct the upcoming solo flick from a script he co-writes with "American Crime Story" scribe Joe Robert Cole. Based on characters created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, "Black Panther" follows T'Challa, the new ruler of the advanced kingdom of Wakanda who must defend his land from being torn apart by enemies from outside and inside the country.
