The first scene of Netflix's 'Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life' depicts Rory's return to Stars Hollow and includes a reference to Gwyneth Paltrow.

AceShowbiz - Now you can imagine the first scene of "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life". The first page of the revival script has landed online via EW, previewing Rory's return to Stars Hollow as well as her reunion with her mother Lorelai.

As usual, the mother-daughter's conversation includes amusing jokes and remarks. "You should look drawn and blotchy. You should be singing 'I Dreamed a Dream' with a bad haircut while selling yourself to French dockworkers. Instead, you look perfect. Admit it. You've been Goop'd," Lorelai says to Rory who looks "gorgeous" after a seven-hour flight.

Thanks to @entertainmentweekly we have the FIRST PAGE OF THE REVIVAL! In case it's too tiny for you to read, I transcribed it: "We zip through a rush of people and land on Lorelai Gilmore sitting on the steps of the gazebo, two giant cups to take-out coffee in her hand sand a paper bag on her lap. She hears a familiar voice: Rory: Hey! Lorelai looks and we pan up to find Rory Gilmore standing there, smiling and gorgeous. Lorelai (annoyed): Thats how you look when you get off a plane? Rory: Thats how you say hello? Lorelai (getting up): Youve been stuffed in a glorified tin can for seven hours surrounded by people with consumption and diphtheria, scabies, hummus dips, rabid dogs, and drugged up children attacking your seat and stealing your change. Rory: What airline are you flying? Lorelai: You should be drawn and blotchy. You should be singing, I Dreamed a Dream with a bad haircut while selling yourself to French dockworkers. Instead, you look perfect. Admit it. Youve been Goopd. Rory: I have not been Goopd. Lorelai: You do yoga in the aisles wearing cashmere sweatpants while your comfort dog watching Zoolander on his watch." GUYS THERES SO MANT REFERENCES ALREADY AND JUST READING THIS (in their voices of course) MAKES ME SO HAPPY. OMG WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK? #gilmoregirls #gilmoregirlsrevival #laurengraham #alexisbledel #rorygilmore #lorelaigilmore #ggrevival #netflix

Lauren Graham comments on the jab at Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle brand Goop, "I just felt like that's so quintessentially Amy and Lorelai. It was then that I was like, 'We're going to be okay.' "

To the site, Graham and Alexis Bledel reveal how they felt when they first read the script. "I didn't read the last episode for the longest time because I was scared," Graham shares. "I loved how everything was teed up in the first three and I, carrying the burden of everybody in my mind, was like, 'Oh God, what's going to happen?' And to me, it was deeply satisfying - and also it answered questions I didn't even think of. I thought, 'Oh how perfect, wow. I wouldn't even have wondered that.' "

Bledel recalls, "I read the first three in one sitting. I was on page 7 or 8 when I remembered: Of course, this is that inviting town where everything is so familiar. And I felt like I was enveloped back into that time and place; wherever it exists in people's imaginations, I was reminded of where it was in mine. It was so easy to just jump back in and get to work. Which is lucky - because I had to the next day."

"Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" will be released November 25 on Netflix. The four-part revival "will represent a different season over the course of one calendar year," beginning with "Winter". Kelly Bishop, Scott Patterson, Keiko Agena, Liza Weil, Danny Strong, Milo Ventimiglia, Jared Padalecki and Matt Czuchry are also returning for the revival.
