Tom Holland Admits He Keeps Ripping Spidey's Suit While Filming 'Spider-Man: Homecoming'

During his visit to Egleston Children's Hospital, the lead star of the new 'Spider-Man' film admits that he has more or less twenty Spidey suits, because he keeps ripping them on the filming set.

AceShowbiz - The lead star of the highly-anticipated "Spider-Man: Homecoming", Tom Holland, says that he has more or less twenty costumes of Spider-Man. When the young actor came for a radio interview with Seacrest Studio Atlanta in Egleston Children's Hospital, he revealed that he broke quite a lot of the red-and-blue suits on the filming set.

Dressed in his Spidey "beauty suit," Holland said, "I break them quite a lot because I have to do a lot of stunts and flips and stuff, so they rip." He continued, "So, I think, we have 20 suits, I think, that we alternate. This is, actually, what we would call a beauty suit, which means it's 'picture ready.' And then we have a stunt suit, which isn't as nice as this one."

During the interview, the young British actor also discussed his role as the titular superhero. "Spider-Man has always been a huge part of my life," he said. "I loved the movies, I loved the comics, and I always just wanted to be Spider-Man. I could never have imagined that this would become a reality, and then to be here today and meet all you guys is such a privilege."

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" is directed by Jon Watts from a script provided by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein. The new "Spider-Man" movie which is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters on July 7, 2017 centers on Holland's Peter Parker back to his high-school roots.

In the upcoming superhero flick, Robert Downey Jr. and Marisa Tomei are set to reprise their roles as Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man and May Parker respectively. Michael Chernus has been tapped as The Tinkerer and Michael Keaton will portray The Vulture. The upcoming film also stars Zendaya Coleman, Donald Glover, Angourie Rice, Hannibal Buress, Bokeem Woodbine and Jon Favreau.
