AceShowbiz - Despite a bunch of promos for "American Horror Story" season 6, there's no clue about the theme of the new installment. However, some media slip-ups have may revealed the subtitle of the upcoming sixth season.
Earlier this week, Rotten Tomatoes had listed the new season of the horror anthology series as "American Horror Story: The Mist", but the subtitle was later redacted from the site. Further fueling the speculation was a TV schedule on TV Guide magazine which also lists the show's upcoming season as "American Horror Story: The Mist".
AHS titled revealed in TV Guide? This is in their schedule in the latest issue.
The alleged theme was hinted in a promo titled "The Mist", which showed an ominous creature emerging from the distance and scuttling down a misty-covered railway. More promos have recently been released, but they don't seem to hint at the same thing. One of them shows insects walking on someone's back and into his/her neck. The newer one features a creepy doll with moving eyes and mouth.
Co-creator Ryan Murphy recently told The Hollywood Reporter why he kept the theme of season 6 a secret, "We wanted to [create a] different experience for the fans this year. But that doesn't mean we'll do that for season seven or even season eight."
"AHS" season 6 will premiere September 14 at 10 P.M. ET on FX. Lady GaGa, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson and Cheyenne Jackson are the only stars confirmed to return.
