AceShowbiz - Beyonce Knowles has been added to the performer lineup of the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards. The "Lemonade" creator is joining previously announced performers including Rihanna, Nick Jonas, Britney Spears, Future, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.

MTV announced the news just before the annual awards event kicked off on Sunday, August 28. The network tweeted Beyonce's upcoming performance along with some "Lemonade" emojis. It's likely to be a memorable night for the "Single Ladies" hitmaker, who is nominated for 11 awards at the VMAs including Video of the Year for her smash hit "Formation".

Other performers include Ty Dolla $ign, G-Eazy, The Chainsmokers with Halsey. Kanye West, meanwhile, will be given four minutes to do whatever he chooses during the show. Last year, he delivered a 12-minute speech that culminated in him announcing he's running for president in 2020. It's unknown whether he plans to perform or go on one of his infamous extended rants.

The 2016 VMAs, held at Manhattan's Madison Square Garden, kicks off at 9 P.M. ET on MTV.
