AceShowbiz - Rihanna gets a surprise gift from her boyfriend Drake in honor of her VMAs win. The "This Is What You Came for" hitmaker will receive the coveted Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, August 28.

RiRi shares on Instagram a photo of a massive billboard with the message, "Congratulations to Rihanna from Drake and everyone at OVO." The 28-year-old singer, songwriter captions it, "When he extra" alongside a heart and trophy emoji.

RiRi is expected to perform medley of her biggest hits before accepting the Video Vanguard Award at New York's Madison Square Garden on Sunday night. The Bajan beauty follows Justin Timberlake who got the special award in 2013, Beyonce Knowles in 2014 and Kanye West in 2015. Other past recipients include the King of Pop himself, Madonna, Guns N' Roses, Beastie Boys and Britney Spears. The award was created in 1984 and then renamed after MJ in 1991.

Other artists who will perform at the upcoming VMAs include Nick Jonas and Ty Dolla $ign, Britney and G-Eazy, Future, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj. Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian, P. Diddy, Alicia Keys, Ansel Elgort, Bebe Rexha, Fifth Harmony, Jaden Smith, Shameik Moore and Tove Lo will be presenting during the show.
