According to wedding planner Mindy Weiss, the couple was initially going to tie the knot in North Carolina but dropped the plan because of the state's transgender bathroom law.

AceShowbiz - Ciara and Russell Wilson moved their wedding twice before they tied the knot at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, England last month. The couple's wedding planner Mindy Weiss revealed that the singer and the Seattle Seahawks quarterback initially planned to get married in North Carolina, but changed their mind due to the state's transgender bathroom law.

"I did the whole thing - three times," Weiss told The Knot. "They were first getting married in North Carolina, but they called it off due to the transgender bathroom laws." The said law that doesn't sit well with the pair mandates that transgender individuals must use the bathroom that corresponds with their birth gender and eliminates antidiscrimination protections for the LGBT community.

Ciara and Wilson's second option was Paris, but "it ended up being [Couture] Fashion Week and it was really difficult," Weiss shared. "We ended up in London," she added of the couple's wedding, "They wanted to be away. And we found a castle that was an hour out of Liverpool and they had about 110 guests."

Ciara and Wilson got married on July 6 in a fairytale wedding ceremony. The 30-year-old singer wore a cleavage-baring Roberto Cavalli white lace gown which boasted a long train and a matching veil, while her 27-year-old husband donned a bespoke Giorgio Armani suit.

But the problem didn't end there. Ciara's dress couldn't fit inside the chapel. Weiss said, "Inside the castle, they had a chapel but it was too small because her dress was 13 feet." She added, "Her dress in person was so much more spectacular than in the pictures, though in the pictures, they're beautiful. In person, it was shockingly beautiful."
