Depp, who was drunk and high on ecstasy, reportedly cut off the tip of his middle finger while accusing the actress of cheating on him with Billy Bob Thornton.

AceShowbiz - Johnny Depp reportedly lost one of his fingertips in a brutal fight with Amber Heard. He accidentally cut off the tip of his middle finger as he accused her of infidelity back in March 2015, according to TMZ which also obtained a gruesome photo of what's believed to be the actor's severed finger.

The site said that the pair were staying in a villa in Australia when they had a heated argument. Depp, who was drunk and high on ecstasy, smashed multiple glass bottles and windows, and also slammed a plastic phone against a wall. He ended up slicing off a portion of the middle finger on his right hand with a piece of one of those items he destroyed.

Instead of immediately seeking medical attention, the "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" star dipped the remaining of his forefinger to Heard's dark blue paint and used it to write "Billy Bob" and "Easy Amber" on a mirror.

Depp was accusing his then-wife of cheating on him with Billy Bob Thornton, who had done a movie with her. Heard, who has strongly denied the allegation, added that Depp had also accused her of having affairs with other men throughout their marriage.

Heard's team revealed that Depp didn't get medical help for nearly 24 hours, so doctors were unable to reattach the fingertip. So, they used skin from his hand to sew a new one.

Heard has been accusing Depp of being abusive throughout their four-year relationship, something the actor and his lawyers have denied. The report and photo of his severed fingertip came just days after a video emerged showing him smashing a wine glass and bottle, and kicking a cabinet during another fight in their kitchen. The video was reportedly taken months before the May 21 incident, during which Depp allegedly hit her with an iPhone.
