AceShowbiz - Brie Larson has recently joined the MCU to play Carol Danvers in Marvel's female-led superhero film "Captain Marvel", but the Oscar-winning actress is already getting into the character. She prepares for her role by reading "Captain Marvel Vol. 1: Higher, Further, Faster, More" by Kelly Sue DeConnick and David Lopez, and wearing the female superhero's costume.

The 26-year-old actress took to Twitter on Saturday, August 6, to show her 386 thousand followers a picture of herself dressed in a red-yellow-blue suit while getting stuck into the comic book on a couch. The "Room" actress credited boyfriend Alex Greenwald in the caption which read, "LARSON INDUSTRIES R&D DEPT. "

The upcoming female-centric film focuses on Carol Danvers, an American security officer whose DNA is fused with that of the alien Kree race. Larson's Danvers would be one of the characters in Marvel Cinematic Universe phase three, which includes Benedict Cumberbatch's Sorcerer Supreme in "Doctor Strange", Tom Holland's webslinger character in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" and Chadwick Boseman's title character in "Black Panther".

No director is on board for "Captain Marvel" yet. "Inside Out (2015)" scribe Meg LeFauve and "Guardians of the Galaxy" co-writer Nicole Perlman are working on the script, with Marvel's Kevin Feige serving as the producer. The upcoming film is scheduled for a March 8, 2019 release in U.S. theaters.
