There will be tension when the two meet as executive producer Sarah Schechter previously teased, "Clark has a very different experience of what it means to have super powers on earth. There's some head-butting and philosophical approaches that are different. Well get into that."

Hoechlin talked about taking on the iconic role when met at Comic-Con. "It's definitely incredibly surreal," he said. "I know the character represents so much to so many people. This is not a generational thing. This is something literally spread across so much time. There is a lot of responsibility with this character. I'm really excited. I have not tried on the suit yet. That will be a moment for sure."
