The Breitbart editor refuses to apologize and cites 'free speech' for his mean comments towards the 'Ghostbusters' actress.

AceShowbiz - Milo Yiannopoulos is banned for good from Twitter. The conservative tech editor of Breitbart is permanently suspended from the social network for allegedly leading racist and sexist mob to cyber-bully "Ghostbusters" actress Leslie Jones.

Twitter says in a statement, "People should be able to express diverse opinions and beliefs on Twitter. But no one deserves to be subjected to targeted abuse online, and our rules prohibit inciting or engaging in the targeted abuse or harassment of others."

"Over the past 48 hours in particular, we've seen an uptick in the number of accounts violating these policies and have taken enforcement actions against these accounts, ranging from warnings that also require the deletion of Tweets violating our policies to permanent suspension."

The company adds, "We know many people believe we have not done enough to curb this type of behavior on Twitter. We agree. We are continuing to invest heavily in improving our tools and enforcement systems to better allow us to identify and take faster action on abuse as it's happening and prevent repeat offenders."

"We have been in the process of reviewing our hateful conduct policy to prohibit additional types of abusive behavior and allow more types of reporting, with the goal of reducing the burden on the person being targeted. We'll provide more details on those changes in the coming weeks."

In response, Yiannopoulos defiantly says, "With the cowardly suspension of my account, Twitter has confirmed itself as a safe space for Muslim terrorists and Black Lives Matter extremists, but a no-go zone for conservatives. Twitter is holding me responsible for the actions of fans and trolls using the special pretzel logic of the left. Where are the Twitter police when Justin Bieber's fans cut themselves on his behalf?"

"Like all acts of the totalitarian regressive left, this will blow up in their faces, netting me more adoring fans. We're winning the culture war, and Twitter just shot themselves in the foot. This is the end for Twitter. Anyone who cares about free speech has been sent a clear message: you're not welcome on Twitter."

Leslie Jones was forced to leave Twitter after getting mean comments from internet trolls. "Ok I have been called Apes, sent pics of their asses, even got a pic with semen on my face. I'm tryin to figure out what human means," she wrote. "I leave Twitter tonight with tears and a very sad heart. All this cause I did a movie. You can hate the movie but the s**t I got today...wrong." Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey responded, "Hi Leslie, following, please DM me when you have a moment."

The "Saturday Night Live" star was quickly showered with countless supportive messages from fellow celebrities and fans alike. "@Lesdoggg is hilarious and strong and beautiful and she will be back with a vengeance I can't wait for you to see what she is capable of," Amy Schumer wrote.

Kerry Washington tweeted, "Wow. Yet another example: HURT PEOPLE HURT PEOPLE. Intolerable trolling. So much ignorance & hate. I stand with #LeslieJones #LoveforLeslieJ." Anna Kendrick posted, "Just left @Ghostbusters and had SO MUCH FUN! That sequence in the smoke was everything!! #AnswerTheCall #GirlsKickingAss #LoveForLeslieJ."

Brie Larson tweeted, "I have unlimited #LoveforLeslieJ - and no tolerance for hateful remarks." Elizabeth Banks said, "@Lesdoggg Simply, I love you." John Boyega wrote, "@Lesdoggg queen, wishing you well. Go through your process and hopefully you find peace. Don't let them stop you!"

Jones' "SNL" co-stars were among her supporters as well. "Hey @Lesdoggg I'm just seeing all this garbage. Don't worry. It'll all be ok. Everyone who knows you knows you're the best," Colin Jost wrote. Aidy Bryant tweeted, "You have to be a monster to do anything but love the powerful force that is @Lesdoggg." Jay Pharoah posted, "We all have @Lesdoggg 's back she is 1 of the sweetest and funniest people I know, harassing her is pompous and NAUSEATING! #SNLFAMILIA."

James Corden also sent the actress love and support, "I absolutely LOVE @Lesdoggg And so does everyone I know. I hope she can feel that right now x x x." Chrissy Teigen reached out to Twitter, "I love you, @Twitter. I love you so much. But please get it together. Stand up for your users who deserve better."

The original "Ghostbusters" actor Dan Aykroyd compared Jones' abusers to Donald Trump's supporters. "These people, they're insignificant gnats, they're losers, they have no lives of their own, they can probably barely pay for the Wi-Fi they're using," he told Entertainment Tonight.

"I would say you're looking at obese white men between 50 and 60 who are active Klan members or member of the Aryan Nation and there are millions of them," he added. "There's a lot of white racist hatred out there that's going to channel into a support for the republican ticket, maybe in the false belief that these people share their views."
