Earning his first Emmy nomination for his role on 'The Night Manager', the British actor has invited his new girlfriend to be his date at the September 18 ceremony.

AceShowbiz - Emmy-nominated Tom Hiddleston won't show up alone at the 68th annual Primetime Emmy Awards. The "Thor" star, who has been grabbing headlines for his blossoming romance with Taylor Swift, has reportedly invited none other than his new girlfriend as his date at the upcoming event.

Hiddleston, of course, won't leave the pop superstar at home during the ceremony since he considers her his "good luck charm." A source tells HollywoodLife.com, "Tom has been telling Taylor that he's the luckiest guy in the world to have her in his life. And now after receiving his big Emmy nomination, he's lovingly calling Taylor his good luck charm."

"Although it's early in the game, Tom has already made it clear to Taylor that he wants her next to him at the Emmy Awards," the source adds. "Taylor is of course thrilled that she will be able to walk the red carpet with him and support him on the big night."

The new pair have been taking trips around the world together in the past few weeks. After visiting his mom in England and enjoying a holiday in Rome, Italy, they are now in Australia as Hiddleston has been filming "Thor: Ragnarok" Down Under.

In an interview with Variety, the 35-year-old actor revealed how he found out that he got nominated for Best Actor Limited Series/Movie at the Emmy Awards. "It's 3:30 A.M. in Australia. I was sort of dozing off; I'm here working on 'Thor: Ragnarok', which is enormous fun. Chris Hemsworth bought a round of tickets for 'Ghostbusters' and a group of us went to see it. I'd just got home and my phone started exploding," he said.

On getting nominated against his "Thor" co-star Idris Elba, he responded, "(Laughing) Idris isn't here yet, but I will see him eventually and I'm sure we'll be okay. Idris and I are old friends and we'll have fun with it. He's a fantastic, brilliant actor. It's not just the honor of being nominated in the company of all these actors, it's such an honor to be nominated among friends like Idris and Benedict Cumberbatch. I don't feel any rivalry, I just feel so proud of both of them. It's an amazing thing to be in the company of all these actors."

Despite what could be dubbed his luckiest day, Hiddleston got through the day like any other days. He shared to EW, "I'm going to sleep for a bit, and then yes, I'm going to go onto set. It is actually a fight day tomorrow. I don't think I'm fighting specifically him, however. Spoiler alert! But that's all I will tell you."
