The Band Perry Postpones Delaware Show Over Security Threats

Police are searching for two men who reportedly made threatening comments before the band was scheduled to perform in Selbyville on Sunday, July 3.

AceShowbiz - The Band Perry pulled the plug on a show scheduled in Selbyville, Delaware on Sunday, July 3 after two men made threats against the venue. Police are searching for the suspects who made threatening comments to an employee at the Americana Bayside Welcome Center.

According to Delaware State Police Master Cpl. Gary Fournier, the two men made the threats at around 2:55 P.M., while The Band Perry was set to perform at the Freeman Stage at Bayside at 7:30 P.M. Officials have not indicated what the men said.

The threats were specific to the concert, said Patti Grimes, executive director of the Joshua M. Freeman Foundation. If the concert moved forward, according to Patti, the band members, audience, employees and volunteers would have been put at risk.

On Monday, July 4, police released surveillance photos of the two suspects, one wearing a green tee and shorts and the other wearing a purple tee and blue shorts. According to police, the two men are between 20 and 30 years old.

The Delaware show was rescheduled for August 17.
