Movie

In the trailer, Tallulah (Page) 'rescues' a baby from an irresponsible mother before turning for help to her ex-boyfriend's mother (Janney).

AceShowbiz - Netflix has released the first trailer for "Tallulah", offering a first look at the upcoming comedy-drama movie starring Ellen Page and Allison Janney. The film is written and directed by "Orange Is the New Black" scribe Sian Heder.

The two-and-a-half minute trailer opens with young drifter Tallulah a.k.a. Lu (Page) struggling with the hand-to-mouth life out of her van. Lu then visits her ex-boyfriend Nico's (Evan Jonigkeit) house where she meets his mother Margo (Janney). Lu asks Margo for money, claiming Nico took her money and ran away. "I really need to find him," she says. But Margo says she hasn't seen her son in two years.

Lu then poses as a housekeeper at The Warwick Hotel and meets negligent mother Carolyn (Tammy Blanchard), who asks Lu to watch her daughter Madison. After witnessing Carolyn's dependence on alcohol and emotional breakdown, Lu decides to take Madison away.

Lu brings Madison to Margo's house and lies that the baby is her granddaughter. Lu and Margo raise Madison like their own child as the investigation into the baby's kidnapping closes in.

"Tallulah", also starring Zachary Quinto, Uzo Aduba, David Zayas and John Benjamin Hickey, begins streaming on Netflix on July 29.
