AceShowbiz - Nicole Kidman was spotted on the set of SundanceTV's "Top of the Lake: China Girl" in Sydney, Australia on Tuesday, June 14. The 48-year-old actress is joining the second season of the crime drama in a small supporting role.

During filming, Nicole ditched her signature blonde hair. She looked older than her real age with a wavy grey wig and freckles. The "Secret in Their Eyes" actress donned a black padded jacket paired with a loose black shirt and dark purple trousers. She was seen chatting to close pal Jane Campion, who is directing the series.

Nicole's role on "Top of the Lake: China Girl" is currently undisclosed. The plot reportedly revolves around Elisabeth Moss' character Det. Robin Griffin as she investigates a mysterious, unidentified body that washes ashore on Sydney's Bondi Beach four years after the events of the first season.

"It's such a thrill to have Nicole join the wonderful cast of 'Top of the Lake Series 2' and continue her collaboration with Jane," executive producer Emile Sherman said via email.

"Game of Thrones" star Gwendoline Christie will also join the second season of "Top of the Lake", which is set to air on SundanceTV in Australia, on Hulu in the U.S. and on BBC Two in the U.K. in 2017.
