AceShowbiz - Director F. Gary Gray took to Instagram on Monday, June 6 to share new "Fast and Furious 8" behind-the-scenes photos and videos. The pictures and videos gave fans a closer look at modified cars as well as Gary's interaction with the cast.
The first picture showed a modified "Fast and Furious" ice car during shooting in Atlanta. "#Iceland action. #f8 @fastandfuriousmovie #heavymetal Fastest Ice #charger ever made. #musclecar," Gary captioned it.
In the second snap, Gary posed with a gun. "Hanging out on set today with my incredible stunt coordinator JJ Perry," he wrote, "Shooting the #badguy @khivju scene today. #heavymetal #globalwarmingisreal #donttrythisathome #f8 @fastandfuriousmovie."
In a video, Gary showed "the biggest blue screen in 'Fast' history", where he filmed "a few details", in Atlanta after weeks of filming in Iceland.
Another video showed a crew member testing the "bad guy toys."
There's also a video of new cast member Kristofer Hivju intensely watching playback alongside Gary. "I love it when my actors are intensely #focused! @khivju is #killing it! This is that moment when you and your actor know you've got gold! #F8 @fastandfuriousmovie #behindthescenes #gameofthrones #workinghard," he wrote alongside the clip.
A previously shared behind-the-scenes video showed a bevy of military vehicles chasing down the "Fast and Furious" crew's modified ice cars, along with "Mad Max"-esque explosions during the filming in Iceland.
"Fast and Furious 8" is coming to U.S. theaters on April 14, 2017.
