The rapper tried to contact NY Mayor Bill de Blasio and ask him to block nearby streets so he could play his makeup concert as scheduled.

AceShowbiz - Kanye West once again had his show canceled. Just hours after his set at the 2016 Governors Ball was scrapped, his makeup show in Manhattan, New York got shut down when thousands of fans showed up and caused chaos outside of New York's Webster Hall on early Monday morning, June 6.

Over 4,000 people already packed the streets around the East Village venue at 01.00 A.M., an hour before the concert was scheduled to start. Some of them were seen standing on top of cars, scaffolding and dumpsters in order to get a better view.

Kanye, along with wife Kim Kardashian, arrived at the scenes minutes before 2 A.M., but because of the massive crowd and the chaos they caused, reps for Webster Hall announced on Twitter shortly after that the concert wouldn't happen. "There is no late show at Webster Hall tonight. Please get home safely," read the tweet.

Kanye then left the venue and was seen driving around nearby streets, apparently trying to find an alternative location for the gig. Kim, who accompanied her rapper hubby, shared on Snapchat a video of Kanye trying to contact the NY Mayor Bill de Blasio.

"Call the mayor and shut down the block about four streets and put screens up so they could have a party outside, I heard it was sold out already," 'Ye's heard talking on the phone in Kim's Snapchat clip.

Kanye was supposed to headline the third day of Governors Ball, which was canceled due to "severe weather." Following his nixed gig, he headed to Hot 97's Summer Jam in New Jersey and made a surprise appearance alongside his G.O.O.D. Music labelmates as well as Pusha T and Big Sean.
