The former boxer may only have 'more than a couple of hours' to live as his Parkinson's disease keeps complicating his condition.

AceShowbiz - A new detail regarding Muhammad Ali's condition has emerged, and things apparently don't look too good. A day after news broke that the former boxer was hospitalized due to respiratory issues, a well-informed source now claims that he only has "hours" to live.

"It's extraordinarily grave. It's a matter of hours," says the source as quoted by the Huffington Post, adding that family has begun planning a funeral for Ali, "It could be more than a couple of hours, but it's not going to be much more. Funeral arrangements are already being made."

Ali checked into a Phoenix-area hospital Thursday, June 2. His spokesman Bob Gunnell said it would only be a brief hospitalization, but the former athlete was reportedly placed on life support on Friday as his Parkinson's disease, which he's been suffering from for more than three decades, only worsened his health condition.

During the difficult time, Ali's daughter Laila Ali took to Facebook Friday to thank everyone for their support. She posted a picture of her dad and his granddaughter Sydney, and wrote, "I love this photo of my father and my daughter Sydney when she was a baby! Thank for all the love and well wishes. I feel your love and appreciate it!!"

Her rep echoed that sentiment in a statement to Entertainment Tonight. "Laila's number one priority is her father's well-being," said the rep. "She truly appreciates the outpouring of love for her family, as she spends quality time with her dad."
