The 'Carol' actress is rumored to join the female pack that includes Sandra Bullock and Jennifer Lawrence in the upcoming remake.

AceShowbiz - Cate Blanchett is circling the upcoming "Ocean's Eleven" reboot, The Playlist reports. If the "Carol" actress signs the deal, she will join Sandra Bullock who will lead the female pack that may include Jennifer Lawrence as well.

Blanchett is expected to play Brad Pitt's character and Bullock is rumored to portray George Clooney's. However, they will not play a female version of those characters but their roles are loosely modeled after the friendship/partnership dynamic established in the original films.

Lawrence is reportedly in talks to play Bullock's right-hand, but there might be scheduling conflicts since the remake is aiming for fall/winter start date while the actress has already had a lot in her plate. Tentatively dubbed "Ocean's Ocho", the female-centric movie inspired by the Steven Soderbergh franchise will be directed by Gary Ross ("The Hunger Games").
