AceShowbiz - Queen Latifah and Jada Pinkett Smith will reunite to co-star in Universal's "Girl Trip". They join Regina Hall who was earlier cast for the movie, while a fourth lead actress has yet to be revealed.

According to Deadline, Latifah and Pinkett Smith are close to finalizing the deals. "Girl Trip" will mark the first time the actresses appear on screen together since they co-starred in F. Gary Gray's 1996 crime action film "Set It Off" about four women who rob banks to escape poverty.

Latifah and Pinkett Smith also worked together on 2008's drama film "The Secret Life of Bees", which Latifah starred in and Pinkett Smith executive produced. Latifah will next be seen on Lee Daniels-directed TV series "Star" and will lend her voice to the next installment of the "Ice Age" film franchise, "Ice Age: Collision Course". Pinkett Smith is starring in upcoming comedy "Bad Moms".

The story focuses on four friends traveling to New Orleans for the annual Essence Festival, where sisterhood is rekindled, wild side are rediscovered, with some drinking, romancing and even brawling thrown in for good measure.

"Girl Trip" was scheduled to be released on August 11, 2017, but the studio has decided to move it up to July 21, 2017 instead.
