Stephen Amell and Will Arnett Joke About Making an 'Arrow' Feature Film

Stephen and Will have taken to Twitter to respond to circulating rumors about a possible 'Arrow' movie.

AceShowbiz - Will there be an "Arrow" feature film? Stephen Amell and his "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows" co-star Will Arnett took to Twitter on Sunday, May 29 to respond to rumors about a possible "Arrow" movie.

Stephen recently told "Larry King Now" that DC currently has no plans to make an "Arrow" movie and he might not be cast as the lead if it happens. "I've spoken with people within DC and they've said there's no plan to bring the Green Arrow to the cinematic universe, but things change," he shared.

The actor, however, shared an awesome idea about a possible "Arrow" movie. "We could make a $30 million 'Arrow' movie with 'Supergirl' and 'Flash' and be tied into one of the seasons if we wanted to. I think it's an absolutely kick-ass, fool-proof idea," he told Toronto Sun, "And you know what broke that rule and did it beautifully, was 'Deadpool'. It said, you can make a superhero movie that's more personal and down in the weeds and it can be f***in' awesome."

Stephen later wrote on Twitter, "Great news: Just saw the 100th headline of me saying an Arrow movie won't happen. Also... Great news: Just saw the 100th headline of me saying an Arrow movie will happen."

"Reality: I've never made a definitive statement either way, so I might just start messing with people & handing out arbitrary release dates," he added, before joking, ".@arnettwill & I just finished an 'Arrow' feature film. He directed! It will be hitting theaters February 30, 2017. Mandy Patinkin stars!"

Will added another joke referencing his fake directing gig.

One fan wrote, "It says February 30th. I mean if people fall for it, it's there fault." A second fan commented, "@StephenAmell @arnettwill cant wait! On my birthday! Feb 30th!!" A third fan added, "@StephenAmell @arnettwill It's gonna be so meta when there are headlines about how you're joking about dumb headlines."
