The effort, appropriately titled 'Gucci Free', will be released by his label 1017 Records on Friday at the earliest.

AceShowbiz - Gucci Mane is out of the jail and he immediately puts his energy to work. The Atlanta rapper hit the studio to record a new mixtape just hours after he got out of federal prison for gun and drug charges.

The mixtape would be released as soon as Friday, May 27 and aptly titled "Gucci Free", his label 1017 Records announced on Thursday via Twitter. It would be the 36-year-old's first recorded effort since 2013's "Trap House III" and the second mixtape his label releases under his name this year. "Gucci Vs. C.N.O.T.E 2" was released in February this year while he was incarcerated.

Mane was unexpectedly released early from prison after serving nearly three years in a federal penitentiary in Indiana. He was sentenced to 39 months in jail after pleading guilty to firearm possessions. His legal team filed a motion several months ago to reduce his sentence by six months and he was accordingly released on Thursday morning.

Gucci is temporarily put in a home confinement before he will be released under supervision. His lawyer, Drew Findling, said that Gucci would return to Georgia to continue being a recording artist.
