Jennifer Lawrence Reveals Which Co-Stars Might Follow in Her Footsteps to Quit 'X-Men'
Movie

The Mystique depicter shares a talk she had with two of her 'X-Men' co-stars about their expired deals with 21st Century Fox.

AceShowbiz - Jennifer Lawrence was asked whether or not she would return for the next "X-Men" movie during an interview for her cover story on Entertainment Weekly's newest edition. While giving her answer, she revealed her talk with co-star James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender.

"Fassbender and McAvoy and I were all talking," she said, "Like, 'Will you come back?' 'I dunno.' 'I'll come back, if you come back.' Fox should be terrified because the deal we made was like if one of us doesn't come back, none of us are."

"I would love to come back," she continued. "I love the fans and I love the character. But then you realize how important your year is, like how important three months out of your year is. I don't know. I shouldn't be that honest."

Lawrence's three-picture deal with Fox expires with "X-Men: Apocalypse" and so her co-stars' contracts. She is not the only hinting at leaving the franchise though. Hugh Jackman has also said "The Wolverine 3" might be his last appearance as the clawed mutant.

Meanwhile, McAvoy's Prof. X is expected to appear in a spin-off called "The New Mutants". It's, however, unclear if they will have his version or Patrick Stewart's. Two more "X-Men" films, "Gambit" starring Channing Tatum and a "Deadpool" sequel led by Ryan Reynolds, are on the cards.
