AceShowbiz - Rejoice geeks! A new "Star Trek" TV series is coming next year and CBS All Access has debuted the first teaser. While it doesn't feature any characters from the show, the promo video unveils the show's logo toward the end of it.

"New Crews. New Villains. New Heroes. New Worlds," so reads the tagline. The new series will launch in January 2017 on CBS All Access, joining the recently announced "The Good Wife" spin-off starring Christine Baranski and Cush Jumbo.

No cast is announced yet for the "Star Trek" TV series. Plot details are also kept under wraps, but it's reported that it will introduce new characters and civilizations, existing outside of the mythology charted by previous Star Trek shows and the current big screen franchise.

Bryan Fuller is tapped as showrunner and will also serve as executive producer along with Alex Kurtzman.
