It Looks Like Rocket Raccoon Will Be in 'Avengers: Inifinity War'

'Inifinity War' writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely hint in a new interview that the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' character will also be in the upcoming third 'Avengers' film.

AceShowbiz - Is Rocket Raccoon the next "Guardians of the Galaxy" character heading to "Avengers: Infinity War"? After director Anthony Russo last month confirmed that Star-Lord would appear in the two-part third "The Avengers" film, a report emerged that his furry friend Rocket Raccoon would follow in his footsteps.

Writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely hinted at Rocket's involvement in a new interview with The Verge. While discussing how they would keep the characters in "Infinity War" grounded, Markus said, "Whether they're a 12-foot purple guy, or a raccoon, or an android, they're all people, and we're going to write them as people."

"You can't write them any other way," he continued. "So, ideally it will stay grounded because you'll completely understand why the characters are doing what they're doing, and you will in some way or another empathize."

"Avengers: Infinity War Part I" is scheduled for release in the U.S. on May 4, 2018 while the second part follows on May 3, 2019. Joe and Anthony Russo direct both movies.

However, before joining the Avengers, Star-Lord and Rocket Racoon will first headline "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2", which is slated to arrive next year. Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista are among stars returning for the sequel.
