'I think I have a different everything about me. I've worked for my whole career, and I've always wanted it to be about that,' she explains her decision in a new interview.

AceShowbiz - Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift are very close friends, but they still have their own way of doing things. Currently gearing up to kick off her "Revival" tour, the former Disney darling has revealed that she has no interest in bringing out her famous pals onstage at her future shows like the "Shake It Off" hitmaker did during her "1989" tour.

She explained her decision in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, telling the publication that she actually received Swift's stamp of approval to make her tour look like Swift's. "I made a joke about this [when] Taylor was in the room," she recalled. "And she looked at me like, 'You should totally do that!' I was like, 'I can't have all those people come on my stage!' She's like, 'Why not?' 'Because I'm not Taylor Swift!' "

Gomez further said that she wanted her upcoming shows to be about her, not about people like Swift and Justin Bieber whom she's constantly linked to. "I think I have a different everything about me. I've worked for my whole career, and I've always wanted it to be about that," she shared.

"I've been in so many situations where it's like, 'Oh, you're friends with this person? You're with that person?' All this credibility s**t that drives me crazy. I love being able to work with other artists I admire, but I have a lot to do on my own before I am willing to make it all about embracing other people," she continued.

The tour, which supports her latest album "Revival", is scheduled to launch later this week in Las Vegas with DNCE and Bea Miller as supporting acts. She went on revealing to the site what to expect from her shows, saying, "I want it to be just vibrant and full of life so that you feel good after leaving."
