The Maroon 5 frontman's new song is one of only a few new compositions on the film's soundtrack album, which will also feature contributions from Duran Duran and The Cure.

AceShowbiz - Adam Levine goes solo for a new song he's recorded for the soundtrack of upcoming film "Sing Street". The Maroon 5 frontman released on Friday, April 8 the beautiful ballad called "Go Now" along with its accompanying video.

The clip shows several scenes from the film that intersperse with the footage of Levine hitting the studio and recording the track, which he co-wrote with director Jim Carney and includes lyrics like, "Go on be wrong 'cause tomorrow you'll be right/ Don't sit around and talk it over, you're running outta time."

"Sing Street" is a musical drama set in 1980s. It follows the story of a 14-year-old Irish boy who escapes his strained family life by starting a band and moving to London. He then tries to win the heart of a girl by asking her to star in his fledgling band's music videos.

The film is set for release in select theaters on April 15., the same day the soundtrack album will be hitting the stores. Levine's "Go Now" is one of only a few new songs included in the record, which will be dominated by classic '80s hits by the likes of Hall & Oates, Joe Jackson, Duran Duran and The Cure.
