Mischa Barton survives the first elimination but doesn't show any improvement this week, as Geraldo Rivera has to hang his dance shoes.

AceShowbiz - "Dancing with the Stars" returned for its second week on Monday night, March 28 with "Latin Night" theme and the first elimination. Twelve pairs performed a routine each, but at the end of the day one would be sent packing.

Jodie Sweetin and Keo Motsepe kicked off the night with a samba. Feeling disappointed after getting 6 from Len Goodman last week, she earned praise from Len this time. "Well done and better than last week," he said, adding that the dance was hot but the leg action "could have been stronger." Jodie earned 21 out of 30 points.

Marla Maples and Tony Dovolani followed it up with an Argentine tango. Bruno Tonioli wanted her to "go down and dirty," but Carrie Ann Inaba disagreed and said, "I don't think in every dance you need to get down, you are classy and sophisticated. It was perfect, you nailed it, I just need more angle in between." Marla earned 20 points.

Up next were Geraldo Rivera and Edyta Sliwinska. They danced a salsa with Geraldo dressing as Donald Trump. It's fun and entertaining, but technically it still wasn't good. "Unfortunately you did not make dance great again, but you did make me laugh," Carrie Ann commented. The veteran journalist earned 13 points, same as last week.

Mark Ballas injured his back during rehearsal on Sunday, so Paige VanZant danced with Alan Bersten that night. They performed a salsa which Len called "the best dance so far." He also praised Mark for the "great choreography." Paige earned 24 points.

Performing rumba next, Antonio Brown and Sharna Burgess couldn't rise to the bar set by Paige. Bruno said Antonio had "all the right equipment" and just needed to "apply it more." Carrie Ann appreciated the chemistry with Sharna, but criticized the lack of techniques. The NFL star got 19 points.

Kim Fields and Sasha Farber danced a salsa. She made a noticeable mistake at the end when she slipped up and stopped. Bruno shared some advice for her, "Dance is new for you, when you make a mistake cover it up and move on." Len said she had potential and told her not to hold back. Kim earned 19 points.

Following his impressive first routine last week, Nyle DiMarco danced a rumba with Peta Murgatroyd this week, but failed to wow the judges. There was an obvious lift at the start and Len couldn't help criticizing it. He also said it was too hectic for a rumba. Carrie Ann "thought it was stunning," but he didn't pay attention to the tone of the song. The deaf model earned 20 points.

Mischa Barton and Artem Chigvintsev danced a cha cha. She complained a lot during rehearsal and the performance was bad. "I appreciate the fact that you tried to get into character, there was a lot of Cha Cha Cha there but it didn't fit," Bruno said. Carrie Ann and Len said that she was offbeat. The actress scored 15 points.

Von Miller and Witney Carson also danced a cha cha. Carrie Ann thought he danced "too small" and wanted him to "own the floor." Len noticed "there were some funny bits here and there," but still called it "tasty." The Denver Broncos linebacker earned 20 points.

Wanya Morris and Lindsay Arnold showed how salsa was supposed to be. Len gushed, "It was a full up dance full of energy, full of excitement and I am full or praise," as Carrie Ann declared him the "king of the ballroom." The Boyz II Men member earned 24 points.

Doug Flutie and Karina Smirnoff danced a paso doble. Bruno liked the strength and power that he showed, but said he needed to move his hips forward. Carrie Ann pointed out that it was simple and played to his strength. Doug earned 20 points.

Performing the last, Ginger Zee and Valentin Chmerkovskiy danced a samba. Carrie Ann said Ginger succeeded in finding her swag and praised her for covering up her mistakes. The "Good Morning America" weather anchor earned 21 points.

After all twelve pairs danced, it's time to announce the results based on last week's dances. Mischa, Geraldo and Doug were in jeopardy, but it was Geraldo who was eventually eliminated. Seemingly agreeing with the result, he said, "If I didn't get eliminated tonight I would have demanded a recount."
