Next week's season finale is expected to give an answer to what will happen to Daryl after the shocking ending in the latest episode and introduce the big villain, Negan.

AceShowbiz - After a lot of chatters about who would die next on "The Walking Dead", one fan-favorite character appears to be the possible victim of a big casualty before the sixth season ends. In the penultimate episode that aired Sunday, March 27, [SPOILER ALERT!] Daryl got shot by Dwight when he left Alexandria in an attempt to avenge Denise's death.

But that was not all. As Daryl went rogue, Glenn, Michonne and Rosita sought him and tried to convince him to return. Daryl refused, and Glenn and Michonne were captured by the Saviors, who then used Glenn and Michonne as bait to draw out Daryl and Rosita.

While Daryl's fate is still unclear, Norman Reedus who plays the crossbow-wielding character confirms, "That's definitely Daryl's blood." He keeps his lips sealed when asked if Daryl's is dead or not, but Reedus says one thing for sure is that "Dwight definitely shoots him."

Dwight also said, "You'll be alright" after he shot Daryl, but it's unknown whom he was speaking to. "We're really good about throwing you off base," Reedus comments on those three words from Dwight. "That comment might not even be to Daryl. It could be to Rosita - or to anybody there. Or it could be to something that some scuffle that happens directly afterward."

"You don't know where he shoots him but that definitely is his blood right there. Dwight knows if Daryl spins around, he's not spinning around to say something; he's spinning around to attack. Dwight knows if Daryl turning around Daryl is going to end him," Reedus adds of the scene, before telling fans, "You should be very worried about Daryl."

Daryl's fate will be answered in the season finale which will air April 3 at 9/8c on AMC. An official preview for the episode teases the first appearance of the big villain Negan, who is played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
