Jeffrey Dean Morgan's villainous character makes an introduction of himself and of his infamous weapon on FOX Netherlands' promo.

AceShowbiz - Negan has been the theme on the second half of "The Walking Dead" season 6 but he is yet to show up on the AMC drama. The new trailer released for the season finale finally gives the first look of the villain and his favorite weapon of choice.

The promo for "Last Day on Earth" appeared on Dutch TV Friday, March 25 morning. Besides showing the inevitable confrontation between Rick's Alexandrians and Negan's Saviors, the trailer includes a shot of the ruthless leader from the back and the barbwire-covered baseball bat he names Lucille. "Hi, I'm Negan," says the character played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

If the comic book version is well-adapted into the series, Negan would be the one who kill fan-favorite Glenn. In an interview with EW, series' exec producer Robert Kirkman addressed the arguably "biggest moment" in the comic book, saying, "I think everybody on the show recognizes it for the iconic, monumental moment that it is in the comic book series. No one is discussing not doing something like that in the show. It's a very big part of his introduction and we want to do it justice."

Asked how different Negan from the previous villains, Kirkman said, "Negan is kind. Negan is respectful. Negan is psychotic. Negan is ruthless. This is a very nuanced character that has a lot of different shades to him. There's a lot of honor to him. There's a rule system in place." That said, Kirkman added, "Negan is kind of an atomic bomb that's going to be dropped on the show, and the show will probably never be the same after that. So buckle up, I guess?"

"Last Day on Earth" will air April 3 for 90 minutes. Meanwhile, there's one more episode this Sunday titled "East" to tie it all together for the finale.
