Following 'The Bachelor' finale, JoJo is officially announced as the star of the next season of 'The Bachelorette'.

AceShowbiz - Those who watched "The Bachelor" season 20 finale must have known that [SPOILER ALERT!] things didn't end on a good note for JoJo Fletcher. But it's not going to be long before she gets her own happy ending. The real estate developer has been officially named the next Bachelorette.
Chris Harrison broke the news during "The Bachelor: After the Final Rose" which aired right after "The Bachelor" finale on Monday night, March 14. It could be the answer to criticisms about the show's lack of diversity. JoJo's mother is Persian and her father was born and raised in Tennessee.
Also during "After the Final Rose", JoJo showed up to talk with her ex Ben Higgins. While she admitted that it was "heart wrenching" when Ben sent her away, she said it was sweet to see how upset he was to see her go. Ben, meanwhile, told her that she would alway be "one of the best parts about my past."
"The Bachelorette" season 12 starring JoJo will air later this year, but ABC has not announced the premiere date yet.
