'She was about to flop, badly,' an industry source says of the singer, who recently canceled the entire dates on her tour in the U.K. and Europe without giving clear reason.

AceShowbiz - Earlier this week, news broke that Janet Jackson nixed the entire dates on her tour in the U.K. and Europe. Ticketmaster announced the cancellation via email to ticket holders without giving clear reason. Now, reports emerged that poor ticket sales were to blame for the whole thing.
"She was about to flop, badly," an industry source told Page Six. "When an artist cancels an entire leg or postpones pieces of the tour, the real reason is because they're not selling, It's better to cancel than play a room that's half-filled, especially if you're Janet Jackson."
The claims have immediately been shot down by Live Nation which produced Jackson's tour. A source at the company said that ticket sales for the European shows were "descent," adding, "We were a month out and still very positive about the shows, but it didn't make any sense to keep all the dates. She's very ambitious right now. And when you're that ambitious, there becomes conflict."
The source further explained, "She has other businesses - some music, some brand-related. Janet has a complicated life. Her schedule was getting crazy, so we decided to pull this thing down ... It may be moved to a later date."
Jackson will indeed reschedule the European tour, though no new dates have been announced. On Thursday, March 10, the R&B diva addressed the cancellation in a tweet. "You're missing me, I'm missing you...," she wrote, quoting lyrics of "No Sleeep" from her 2015 comeback album. "I'll be rescheduling our 'Unbreakable' shows in Europe as soon as I can. Xoxo."

Jackson is still expected to play the second U.S. leg of the tour starting on June 24 in New Jersey.
