The 18-year-old actress received Internet backlash after posting a photo of her wearing real fur jacket and claiming it was faux.

AceShowbiz - Bella Thorne is under fire after posting a photo of her wearing real fur and claiming it was faux. Bella shared the picture on Instagram on Tuesday, March 1 along with caption, "When you're a tomboy and trade in sweats and kicks for boots and fur. (Dear internet Trolls, it's faux fur...) #ootd #shoes #basic #mirrorselfie #hellomarch #supertuesday #positivevibes #girlpower."

In the photo, the "My Own Worst Enemy" star was seen wearing a light cream fur jacket paired with a cleavage-baring black jumpsuit, a round hat and grey booties. But the fur isn't faux at all. It's actually Alice and Olivia "Tierra Striped Fur Jacket which is sold for $ 1,700 after importing animal skins from China.

It's made of "genuine rabbit fur" and "genuine Artic fox fur" in "contrasting fur bands," according the official description from the designer. The company says it requires professional fur cleaning.

Bella's rep claims the actress wasn't intentionally lying when she said it was faux. According to the rep, the 18-year-old actress had actually been wrongly informed that it was fake after she obtained the jacket at a photo shoot. The spokesperson insists Bella no longer intends to wear the fur jacket.

Some haters slammed Bella for wearing real fur. One commenter wrote, "Delete this picture now Bella and apologize. It's real fur." A second commenter posted, "That's an Alice + Olivia REAL FUR JACKET! NO need to lie and say it's faux. It's very sad." A third user added, "People who stand up to animal cruelty are not internet trolls don't get it confused they are just standing up for what's right."

Bella hasn't addressed the backlash and the photo remains on her Instagram page.
