The Microsoft co-founder admits he was 'surprised' when finding out about being mentioned on the song after a co-worker told him about it.

AceShowbiz - Beyonce Knowles' latest single "Formation" caused quite a stir following its release earlier this month. Everyone seems to have something to say about it. However, it doesn't mean the song is interesting enough for billionaires like Bill Gates.

The Microsoft co-founder happens to be one person Bey mentions on her now-iconic song. "You just might be a black Bill Gates in the making, cause I slay/I just might be a black Bill Gates in the making," so the 34-year-old diva sings on the tune. When asked about the name-drop in an interview with Wired, Gates admitted that he didn't know about the lyrics until a co-worker told him about it.

"Yeah, I hadn't realized that she did that until somebody in the office actually sent me a copy of the lyrics and I said, 'Are you serious? This is kind of a strange set of words here,' " he told the publication. "I'm surprised - I'm not sure she said those words at the Super Bowl, though, did she?"

He continued sharing his thought on Beyonce's lines about him, "I guess it's nice that people consider me successful." He revealed he'd never met the queen though he knew her husband Jay-Z. "Because when I did some humor right when I was retiring from Microsoft - he was nice about participating in that, and did a great job on that," he shared. "I guess I should do a Bing search and see if there are more uses of my name that I don't know about."
