TV

Earth-2 Barry joins Cisco and Wells to save Earth-1 Barry with the help from an unexpected source.

AceShowbiz - Barry and friends are still on Earth-2 at the end of "The Flash" most recent outing. As [SPOILER ALERT!] Barry is now captured by Zoom, Cisco and Wells have to find Zoom's lair to save him and Wells' daughter Jesse in the next episode.

As seen in a preview for the upcoming episode, Earth-2 Barry and Iris will join them, but what's unexpected is that Killer Frost will also help them. This will be a great advantage, if she doesn't have any ulterior motives, considering that Earth-2 Barry is not as brave as the Earth-1 version that we know.

Meanwhile, on Earth-1, Caitlin rushes to perfect Velocity-9 so that Jay can stop the Geomancer (guest star Adam Stafford).

"Escape from Earth-2" airs Tuesday, February 16 at 8/7c on The CW.

Executive producers Todd and Aaron Helbing have talked to E! News to preview next week's episode. Aaron notes that while Zoom has captured Barry, he still can't take his speed because "he needs other people to help that process." Todd says, "You will find out in the next episode" how Zoom's going to do that.

So, what are Barry's friends going to do to save the Central City hero? Todd says, "Cisco and Wells are trying to come up with a plan to get Barry out of the predicament he's in, so they seek out help from somebody that you'd never expect and they do their best to set up this rescue mission."

On another prisoner wearing a mask in Zoom's lair, Todd teases, "He's there for a reason."

Once they're back on Earth-1, his Earth-2 version will affect Barry "quite a bit." Todd explains, "I think the relationship with Iris sits with him quite a bit and I think that is going to be on his mind quite a bit in the upcoming episodes." He adds, "Barry's been in love with this woman his whole like, and I can't even imagine what that would be like to go over to a different reality and find out that you're married to them."

During their trip to Earth-2, Cisco also met his own doppelganger, a villain called Reverb who told Cisco that he could harness his powers much more effectively before he was killed by Zoom. On how Cisco will react to this, Aaron shares, "Once you're exposed to something that's possible-it's like the first time Tony Hawk did a 720 on the skateboard, everyone could then do it-so it's once Cisco saw the magnitude of powers that he's capable of, anything's possible now."
