The Canadian teen also performed his own hit 'Stitches' during his visit to BBC Radio 1's 'Live Lounge' earlier this week.

AceShowbiz - Shawn Mendes can do nothing wrong. When visiting BBC Radio 1's "Live Lounge" on Tuesday, February 2, the 17-year-old heartthrob decided to do a cover of fellow Canadian singer Alessia Cara's breakout hit "Here" and his version was perfection.

Taking the stage alone in a black jacket over a gray T-shirt, he showed off his angelic vocals over the acoustic guitar licks. He did run out of breath at one point, but it didn't change the fact that everyone, including Cara herself, loved his amazing cover. "Ahhhh I love u this cover is beautiful. u killed it im so proud," the songbird tweeted later in the day.

In addition to "Here", Mendes performed his own hit "Stitches" at "Live Lounge". The song, lifted off his 2015 debut album "Handwritten", has spent multiple weeks at No. 1 on the U.K. singles chart.

Currently, Mendes is gearing up to embark on his first-ever headlining world tour. After his already sold-out show at New York's Radio City Music Hall on March 5, the teen who previously served as an opener for Taylor Swift will play a handful of shows in Europe before returning to North America.
