Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber Lead Music Nominations of 2016 Kids' Choice Awards


The two singers bag three nominations each, including Favorite Song of the Year and Favorite Collaboration that pit them against each other.

Nominees for the 2016 Kids' Choice Awards were announced on Tuesday, February 2. In music field, Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber lead the pack with three nominations each, including Favorite Song of the Year and Favorite Collaboration which will see the two pitted against each other.

Swift's "Bad Blood" featuring Kendrick Lamar is featured in the former category alongside the Biebs' "What Do You Mean?", The Weeknd's "Can't Feel My Face", Adele's "Hello", Drake's "Hotline Bling" and Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud".

The same song by the 26-year-old former country diva will battle against Bieber's "Where Are U Now", which he recorded with Skrillex and Diplo, for the Favorite Collaboration Award. The new category also includes Swift's BFF and Bieber's ex Selena Gomez's "Good for You" (ft. A$AP Rocky) and Meghan Trainor's "Like I'm Gonna Lose You" (ft. John Legend).

Among other names scoring KCA nominations this year are Fall Out Boy, Fifth Harmony and One Direction, who are competing for Favorite Music Group, as well as Alessia Cara, DNCE, Shawn Mendes and Walk the Moon, who are all vying for the Favorite New Artist trophy.

You can now vote for your favorite via Nickelodeon's website, the Nick app on iPad, iPhone, Kindle and select Android devices, and by using #KCA plus the hashtag of the nominee on Twitter.

Winners in all 22 categories, including TV and movie, will be announced during the 2016 Kids' Choice Awards which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 12 at 08.00 P.M. Blake Shelton, who's also nominated for Favorite Male Singer, is set to host.
