The band's frontman Chris Martin himself hinted during an interview with 'CBS Sunday Morning' that Mars would perform with them at next week's event.

AceShowbiz - Beyonce Knowles may not be the only past performer to return for the Super Bowl 50 next week. Chris Martin, whose band Coldplay is headlining this year's halftime show, appeared to confirm Bruno Mars' appearance during his interview with "CBS Sunday Morning".

In a behind-the-scenes clip posted on Twitter, the British vocalist takes viewers to a room he, his group and their guests have apparently used for a rehearsal. "This may be Beyonce's footprint," he says in the clip. "I'd say she was here about four hours ago. Let's look for a Bruno one."

Mars was a headliner for the 2014 Super Bowl. Bey, meanwhile, headlined the halftime show a year prior. In the interview with "CBS Sunday Morning", Martin revealed he received some words of wisdom from his daughter Apple as well as another past Super Bowl performer Bruce Springsteen.

"She said, 'Dad, the worst thing that could happen is that you get turned into a meme. And after a month or so, people will just forget!' " the frontman recalled what his daughter said to him. Of Springsteen's advice, Martin said, " 'You gotta know every note, man. Twelve minutes. It ain't long, but it's long enough!' "

This year's Super Bowl is airing live from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California on Sunday, February 7.

To promote his band's upcoming performance, Martin recently joined James Corden for the late-night show host's fan-favorite "Carpool Karaoke" segment. In a preview obtained by Entertainment Weekly, the funnyman gives the musician a ride to the venue and helps him perform some of Coldplay's hits like "Adventure of a Lifetime" and "Viva La Vida" as they drive through the streets.

"It's more of a road trip than it is a Carpool in many ways," Corden told EW. "I'm such a fan of his. I'm a fan of that band - they mean the world to me. It was very funny. He brought a keyboard over, and it involved an overnight stay."
