Movie

The first trailer for the fifth installment of the 'Bourne' movie series will be screened during the football game that will be held on February 7.

AceShowbiz - It's no secret that the Super Bowl, though it's not a movie event, has become a popular spot to land movie trailers. One of the highly-anticipated movies that will drop its first trailer during the football game on February 7 is "Bourne 5".

It's Eric Van Lustbader, the author who took over the "Bourne" book series after Robert Ludlum passed away, who broke the news. He wrote on Facebook, "The first trailer for the new Bourne film will be shown during this year's Superbowl telecast. At that time I believe you'll find out the title of the film. (I know it, but I'm sworn to secrecy). So tune in on February 7th to check out all the excitement. I, for one, can't wait!!!"

In addition to screening the first trailer, Universal Pictures will reveal the official title of the fifth installment of the "Bourne" movie series. Previous "Bourne" films have been named after the book, and if the next installment continues the tradition, it can be called "The Bourne Betrayal".

Matt Damon returns to reprise the titular character and Paul Greengrass is back to direct. The story reportedly centers on Bourne who is "in a dark and tortured place," and still searching for answers about his past. His adventure will take him through "an austerity-riddled Europe and in a post-Snowden world."

Julia Stiles returns as Bourne's BFF Nicky. Damon and Stiles are joined by the likes of Tommy Lee Jones, Vincent Cassel, Alicia Vikander, Riz Ahmed, Scott Shepherd and Ato Essandoh in the cast. "Bourne 5" is due to arrive in North America on July 29.

Other movies taking part in the sports event telecast are "The Jungle Book", "Captain America: Civil War", "Zootopia", "Alice Through the Looking Glass", "Finding Dory", "Rogue One", "X-Men: Apocalypse", "Independence Day: Resurgence" and "Deadpool".
