The 'My Heart Will Go On' singer was joined by her mother, her eldest son and other relatives at the Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, where she stood next to her late husband's open casket.

AceShowbiz - While Celine Dion was coping with the loss of her beloved husband of 21 years and longtime manager Rene Angelil, she went to the late musician's public visitation on Thursday, January 21. The "All by Myself" singer was joined by hundreds of fans and family to mourn Rene at the visitation taking place at the Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal.

Celine was dressed appropriately in a black coat over a black dress with a pair of black pump shoes and leather gloves. Though she covered her face with a veil, it's clearly seen that she was still grieving. She was also seen crying and wiping the tears with a white handkerchief.

As classical music was softly played in the venue, the 47-year-old singer greeted visitors and gave them hugs and kisses. Celine was accompanied by Rene's sons Patrick and Jean-Pierre, standing next to her late husband's open casket. Also attending the service were Celine's mother Therese, her eldest son Rene-Charles and Rene's brother Andre.

Earlier in the morning, fans began lining up outside the Canadian house of worship hours before its door opened. They waited for the open casket ceremony in which Rene's loved ones paid their final respects to the late Canadian musician.

Rene died after battling throat cancer at the age of 73 on January 14. Celine, whose brother also died two days after her husband's death, announced on Facebook that Rene's funeral would be held on Friday, January 22 at 3 P.M. at the same venue and would be live streamed around the world.
