AceShowbiz - Ellen Pompeo's Meredith is bloodied in the new trailer for the February 11 midseason premiere of "Grey's Anatomy" season 12. In the heart-stopping episode directed by Denzel Washington, the doctor is brutally attacked at work by someone she least expected.
"It is just as terrifying, shocking and harrowing as it appears," Pompeo's co-star Kelly McCreary previously described the incident to Entertainment Weekly. Another castmate, Sarah Drew, added, "She's attacked really brutally, really viciously and in a completely surprising, weird way."
The incident will have a big impact on a certain character. "Amelia always holds herself extremely responsible for the misfortunate of others. In this case especially, she feels somehow responsible, even though she's really not. She often takes it all very personally when someone she's close to is hurt. When we come back, Amelia is at a very, very low point," Caterina Scorsone spilled.
