AceShowbiz - After "Joy" and the completion of "The Hunger Games", Jennifer Lawrence is gearing up for her next big role. According to The Hollywood Reporter, she is tapped to play a main character in "Marita", a real-life story about Fidel Castro's lover.
The film centers on Marita Lorenz and her affair with the Cuban leader in 1959. After they broke up, she left Cuba and was recruited by the CIA to assassinate her ex-lover. She ended up abandoning her mission and yielded to love when she returned to Cuba.
Jennifer Lawrence is vying for Best Actress title for her performance as Miracle Mop inventor, Joy Mangano. She will next reprise her superhero role, Mystique, in "X-Men: Apocalypse" and share screen with Chris Pratt in sci-fi romance "Passengers".
