'The Bachelor' Recap: Tearful Meltdown and Dramatic Fight
TV

A so-called villain of this season leaves the show and Ben Higgins interferes with a fight between two ladies.

AceShowbiz - Tears and fight made a drama-filled episode of "The Bachelor". In the January 18 outing, Ben Higgins had to deal with one girl's antics and another's jealousy as he continued his dates with the remaining contestants.

He first took Lauren B. on a one-on-one date. They flew around Los Angeles on a biplane and then had a hot tub session in the middle of nowhere. They kissed and Lauren gushed about it, "Kissing Ben is perfect. Everything about it is perfect. I could do it all night long."

Ben apparently felt comfortable around her as he opened up about his dad's triple bypass surgery. Feeling the pain his mother going through, he said, "It was a good reminder, and also a hard reminder, that that's what I'm looking for." Ben gave Lauren a rose.

Next was a group date with 12 girls, Amanda, Haley, Jennifer, Shushanna, Leah, Amber, Lauren H., Olivia, Jami, Rachel, Lace and Emily. They headed to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum where the girls would compete in a soccer game. Alex Morgan and Kelley O'Hara from the U.S. National Team helped train the girls.

Unfortunately for Rachel, she suffered a leg cramp. Team Stripes eventually won the game and they enjoyed a group cocktail with Ben, during which the girls took turn stealing Ben. Olivia dragged Ben to a balcony, before Amber spent some alone time with the Bachelor. Amber had a makeout session with Ben and received a group date rose.

Receiving the second one-on-one date card was Jubilee. Not feeling confident, the army vet asked the other ladies in front of Ben if they rather went on the date instead of her. She and Ben went to a spa anyway and they later had a romantic dinner during which the adopted Jubilee opened up about the fact that her "whole family died" and she didn't know living relatives. Ben found himself attracted to her and gave her the date rose.

The next day, the girls took issue with Jubilee's action before her date. They felt that she didn't appreciate her date and was shocked that it didn't get her eliminated. It didn't help that Jubilee gave Ben a massage after he revealed at the cocktail party that two family friends died in a plane crash the night before.

Amber confronted Jubilee, calling her "disrespectful" and "rude." Jubilee responded, "I don't know what you guys have going on, but I don't want any part of it. ... This s**t ain't cute. ...This is bulls**t - I don't know what you guys are doing, but leave me the f**k out of it." She stormed off, and Ben ended up consoling her. As Amber bad mouthed Jubilee in front of Ben, he took Jubilee's side. "I think I'm seeing sides of the women I haven't seen yet," he concluded.

Lace, meanwhile, had another awkward moment when she tearfully talked about herself in front of Ben during the group date. "Here's Lace. She's blunt. She wears her heart on her sleeve," she said of herself. "I'm a lot. I'm going to be honest with you. I'm a lot. ... I'm so much fun to be around! I have a lot of friends!" Ben's response was just "thank you."

Feeling that her time's up on the show, she spoke to Ben privately during the cocktail party. "I'm mad at myself for the way I've acted since I've been here," she said as she decided to leave. "I want to be able to offer you more. I just feel like going home might be easier, and just continue working on myself and trying to better myself. Because, like my tattoo says, you can't love someone else until you truly love yourself, and I don't know if I truly love myself just yet." Ben accepted her decision.

Ben still had to eliminate two girls at the rose ceremony. The unlucky ones were Shushanna Mkrtychyan and Jami Letain. Jami was clearly upset as she said, "I feel like I literally just got smacked across the face. My lesson from this is don't ever expect anything from humans. Gonna start adopting cats now."
